Shane joined Stifel in 2020 after working at Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith – a wholly owned subsidiary and the primary wealth and investment management brokerage operating arm of Bank of America – since 2008. While at Merrill Lynch, Shane initially co-founded the West Group and attained the title of Managing Director – Wealth Management Advisor. He began his financial services career in 2007 as an analyst at Rich Capital, LLC. Shane holds Series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses, as well as the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor® designation through the National Association of Plan Advisors. He earned a B.A. in History from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA with concentrations in Marketing and Operations Management from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Shane focuses on formulating multigenerational wealth strategies, developing customized retirement and philanthropic planning approaches, and helping clients manage plans across the investment spectrum. He also focuses on business strategies for clients and is the team’s primary liaison to Stifel’s investment bank. Depending on the client’s situation, he may employ a “home run bucket” approach, which entails keeping the vast majority of assets in traditional nest egg investments and diversifying a smaller portion into mid cap, small cap, and micro-cap companies with the potential to “hyper grow” into attractive long-term profitability, all while keeping a keen eye on the client’s specific risk profile.
Born and raised in Dallas, Shane now lives in North Dallas with his wife, Tracey, and their three daughters. He is an Eagle Scout, a board member of Hillels of North Texas, an advisory board member of robotics start-up Now Cuisine, a longtime prior board member and giving society chair of the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas, an alumnus of the Zin Leadership Fellows Program of Israel’s Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and of the Jewish Federations of North America’s National Young Leadership Cabinet, and actively involved at his synagogue.
In his free time, Shane enjoys multiple artistic pursuits, including executive producing both the feature film Adventures in Game Chasing and the LP record Crest by Texas singer-songwriter Barton Stanley David, both released in 2022. In 2024, Shane published his own classical music composition “Intercontinental Wedding Theme,” a piece for piano and string quartet, followed in 2026 with “Jumping Back Brass,” an orchestral horn-driven jazz-rock piece. His pop song “Sleepytime,” as performed by The Lullaby Brothers, attained semifinalist recognition in the 2025 International Songwriting Competition. He has also been a theater producer, a published freelance writer, and a contributing author to books on 1980s and 1990s video games.
